Just discovered Rosie Thomas, "A Very Rosie Christmas". She does a beautifully touching version of "Christmas Don't Be Late" (Chipmunk song). https://youtu.be/zTG3u1pGFag

Whoa! Way off the beaten path, that one.

What a way to hijack a thread and your theory is shallow brother! It’s actually quite the compliment to the true fans of (just about) any artist to give them some Christmas joy with a lot of them putting their own signature in the mix! juzarlhtegky.png

so -- given the performer's mainstream fame, this probably isn't as far off the beaten path as it strikes me to be. Tonight, I heard this really, oddly wonderful version of Blue Christmas on Vermont Public's All the Tradtions. It turns out, it's by... Sheryl Crow. Imagine my surprise. :|

I enjoy Christmas music when there’s no singing (it helps to mitigate the undesirable after-effect of mental repeat for me).
