SDA 2.3's with McIntosh MC2205: Which to tap into? 1, 2, 4 or 8 ohms?

Howdy, y'all. Just picked up a pair of 2.3's (with the doughnut drivers - forget which designation that is) and I'm curious the best positive terminal to plug them into. What can/should be expected from the different settings?
Thanks in advance.

Just plug them into the 4 ohm tap and listen. I would not play them on any other tap.

I think that speaker model and some others were technically rated at 6 ohm nominal, so I agree the 4 ohm terminals should work best. No harm in trying the 8 ohm as well though with the same volume setting on the preamp. Look for any perceived distortion/fuzzy noise differences at high volumes but the SDAs are pretty efficient speakers so you probably won't be able to perceive much difference if any with those speakers. The MC2205 won't lack for current with the 4 ohm or 8 ohm terminals. No need to try the 1 and 2 ohm terminals. I understand the MC2205 is a common ground design so no problems there.

As mentioned and I agree use the 4ohm taps. I've used the 4ohm taps on my mc2500s both single and when I ran a strapped-bridged pair on my 1.2tl's. Currently it's also the 4ohm tap for my mc1201's-1.2tls. I've been pleased with the sound from both amps and haven't felt the need to try the 8ohm tap.
