I’ll second that Brothers In Arms mentioned above. I’ve commented on it before. Pretty much any Knopfler vinyl is excellent but that MoFi 45 RPM excels fer shur.

Side 2 (or sides 3 & 4 with the 45RPM) is one of my all-time favorites.

The Highwaymen - Highwayman - Columbia Records
A surprisingly great album. I am far from even a casual country fan but this record has been a go-to demo staple for me.

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories - Columbia
So many good artists that joined in on this one.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue - Columbia
    I mean...come on...it's Miles ****** Davis.

These are all great to very good (IMO of course), the last one of Oscar Peterson is not his best work but he's a great jazz pianist. My tastes in music are diverse. 60's-70's rock, 1960's US and British Psych., Blues, Jazz, Classical, Big Band, even some Country. The lower left Gershwin Living Stereo is great. Was going to add The Beatles, but they're a given for most. Wanted to add Joni Mitchell's "Blue" too. Too many other great one's to list.

The Gershwin album was redone by Analogue Productions in 2014. On LP and SACD:

Joey, were you just looking for vinyl records here?

  • I'll second Troy's "The Girl in the Other Room" by Diana Krall. It's totally different and beyond any of her other albums.

I'll join many of you on that MoFi "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits. When I was younger, I would use songs from this album (CD/Cassette) as motivation for the crew at the start line of my sailboat races.

I will add "Stardust" by Willie Nelson as one of the most relaxing and beautiful albums I have heard. It's like hearing a sunset.
