Hmmm, I didn't know Rosso even made a bookie. Have you ever heard the Rosso Fiorentino Fiesole, Josh? If you have, is the top end any different between the two? (Obviously the bass/mids will be different)

What makes a pair of loudspeakers specific to near field?

Nothing, other than listening to them in a near field position.

I’ve got Omega 3T desktop speakers and their matching sub. The sweet sound constantly distracts me from getting much work done. The highly efficient speakers are easily driven by low powered amps, like my Scott 222c.

Hows that sound from the Scott? I've been looking at some and people want crazy money for them. What tubes did you wind up settling on ?

Nice drafting table. I have something similar from an old office move when one of our branches was getting all new stuff. Those make fantastic work spaces if you have the room to set them up. I currently don't, so mine's broken down It has two or three drawers, I think. I don't know if you can even get stuff like that anymore.

Back when I was into photography a bit, I had another one that I never really had the room for, either.
It was metal frame, though. The drafting top was nice, though. Combo board with a light window in the middle as well. I ended up giving that one away to a drafter friend, but it woulda been great for working with slides. Digital SLRs were coming on market around then, though, and didn't have much on slide at that point anyway, so...

    Anyway, sweet work space B)

    Nice old Thorens, too.
