Hong Kong is an audiophile-oriented city; its audiophiles are fanatical. Practically this whole building is occupied by audio dealers. Doesn't matter if you can't read the Chinese characters, just look at the photos. Warning!! Please wear eye protection due to glossy and shiny metallic finishes.

Just click on the numbers and you will be taken to each floor of the building by the virtual elevator. Start the ride here.

I like the "big red cannons" at Chan Ye Audio, floor 9.

This building is located about a block from another heavy concentration of audio stores, located in a basement site. Inside this basement site, there are about 10 tiny stores....I remember one that specialized in analog only gear. There was one that demo giant horn speakers with 3W/per channel tube amps. There is always crowds there because each store try to "out demo" the other.

On top of this basement is a audio store that carries Polk Audio speakers.

As for the highrise, there are always crowds there too. Occasionally, there are arguments amongst the visiting audiophiles....tube vs. solid-state, digital vs. analog, arguments about this cable vs. that cable, XRCD vs. SACD, etc....

Nice find, Danny. Thanks for the link. I wonder what is the exchange ratio between US $ & H/K money.

The exchange rate is always US$1.00/HK$7.80, give or take a cent here and there.

But why pay cash when credit card rates are slightly better.
