I know there are plenty of football fans here, don't recall seeing much about baseball.
It's refreshing to see the HR record being chased by somebody who doesn't cheat the game. I don't consider the numbers of the Sosa and Bonds era to be relevant.
It also helps that I'm a Yankee fan too I guess.

@muncybob, I am a lifelong baseball fan, but I do go through periods when I repeat a term that I learned in the early 70's:
"Watching a baseball game is like watching paint dry"
I am now in a "like period" and I know all of the Braves players names, unlike at the beginning of the season a couple of years ago. The Braves moved from a ball park in downtown Atlanta to the Truist Park in Marietta. Not as dangerous a drive to go to a game now, but I don't attend games often."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Anger is just anger. It isn’t good. It isn’t bad. It just is. What you do with it is what matters.
You can use it to build or to destroy. You just have to make the choice. Jim Butcher

NL East has ONE game of separation, wow!
It sure will be interesting to see how this ends, but whatcha think is gonna happen when my Metropolitan's come calling next week?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Next to hockey, baseball is my favorite sport to watch.

I still enjoy watching a game now 7 then, but honestly I don't recall the last time i watched a complete game. I typically check out the score late in the game, I guess I'm a relief watcher.
Mets are looking good this year. Not sure who will make it to the WS in that league but the Astros are the team to beat in the AL. Sadly my Yanks will miss it again although Severino looks promising.Yep, my name really is Bob.

I still don't watch MLB or the NFL.
I spent most of my time doing positive things like drinking and chasing women. -

Baseball is a great social sport, because you don’t have to give it your full attention and can chat with your friends/family while it moves along. Perfect for a casual drink and relaxing, imo.CD Players: Sony CDP-211; Sony DVP-S9000ES; Sony UDP-X800M2 (x2); Cambridge Audio CXC
