    I am glad to see the Pistons win it. They play great team basketball and Dumars did a great job putting them together. Imagine if he had picked Melo instead of Darko, what a mistake so far.

    Oh my, what happened to the mighty Lakers!

    Kobe Bryant predicted and guranteed a victory for the Lakers. THEY GOT SMOKED! I guess the team is in for a spanking from the great Magic Johnson.

    Ya ever notice when a player says "I predict and guarantee a victory for our team" and when the team wins, the press treats them like they have mystical powers beyond mortal man and this earth. ESPN will run segments on how this player somehow predicted the outcome like he was Nostradamus. Not a damn word so far on his failed prediction.

    Hey Kobe, heres a prediction of my own...YOUR DUMB **** WILL BE BACK IN COURT SOON FIGHTING RAPE CHARGES! :D

    Yep, I'm not a fan of the Pistons nor basketball, but I'm even less a fan of the Lakers.

    My hat is off to the Detroit Pistons and Larry Brown. They truly played a terrific series and showed they deserve to be champs!

    It is beyond comprehension how the Laker's , after taking care of Houston, San Antonio and Minnesota, could fail so miserably against Detroit. Before the playoffs I actually thought that none of the East teams could have handled either S.A., LA, Minn or even Dallas and Sacramento for that matter.
    I looked at Detroit after that Indiana series and wondered how they could ever score enough points to win against the Lakers. I guess they can and did. Of course it pays to play a team that couldn't even play defense against a college team.

    Although not a huge Pistons fan, I'm from MI, and watched many of the playoffs games. My take on why the Lakers lost to Detroit is because Bryant and O'Neal EACH wanted to (or were expected to) BE the team, instead of wanting to be PART of a team. The Pistons played well AS a team, plain and simple. All of the Pistons each knew their OWN strong points and weak points, and made a consertive effort as a TEAM to take advantage of the strong and avoid the weak points wherever and whenever possible. And let's face it, the Pistons defense was incredible.

    I doubt it, not anytime soon. They are not young or deep enough and it looks like the team will split up this summer. The other teams in the west are getting stronger and younger. I think Kobe is gone to lead his own team and Phil doesn't have a contract. Also Shaq will be at least 50-75 lbs heavier next season:p

    Another part of the problem was that Phil Jackson felt compelled to use Karl Malone even though he was a hindrance. It was selfish of Karl because he wanted to be a part of it but really wasn't physically able.
    The paper out here this morning implied that, through his own admission, this was Jackson's last year.
    Also, yeah the Pistons have a great defense, which is why they won, but the freakin' Lakers couldn't even hit OPEN shots, let along guard anybody.
    In addition, Walton got a big head listening to all the hoopla regarding his assists in game 2 that every game after that that's all he tried to do. He was open as hell all the time but wouldn't shoot.

    Now you know that Lebron and Carmello are just chomping to get to a team like LA, time for Koby to move on, well so be it, Shack gaining 75lb. what did he buy stock in Carl's Jr. Remember the Fridge from Chicago and Mcdonalds commercials.

    The Lakers are a historic powerhouse, like the Yankees, sure they have some lean years, dont count them out!!!

    Both those guys are in the PERFECT spots for them. Lebron in his home town walking around like a god and Carmelo knowing that the Nuggets have all kinds of cap room and want to build the entire team around him...

    Denver is a football town always will be, in LA we can make him a star bigger than life!!! Its Showtime, remember.

    Clevland is great for Rock and Roll, no way Lebron will stay, Orlando, LA, NY, he needs a big stage maybe Chicago, but the official rumour is LA BABY!!!!:cool: :cool: :cool:

    And we got the number one fan Jack N.!!!!!

    Maybe we can get Big Ben from Detroit, Koby and Shack gone, Fisher, Malone, alot of Salary dough loosened up there.
