I have had my system for about 2 years now and I love it. I just moved and I am able to fully utilize the system's power. I just noticed that there is little to no sound coming from the back surround speakers when I listen to a cd, radio, or t.v. I was wondering if anyone knew what the problems was? I have the levels turned up in the back. They really kick for DVD's and VHS movies.

I know someone who has a similar system from Bose and they don't have that problem. They can listen to whatever they want and the output from the back is the same as the front.

Does anyone know how I can fix this or even if it can be fixed???

Thanks for your help!

Are you getting sound out of your center channel?
If not it sounds like your receiver is playing music in 2channel. Which I personally think sounds best. If you want it out of all channels you have to set your receiver to surround mode. 5.1, pro-logic or some other format that plays in surround.

Yes, I get sound out of my center speaker. I do put the receiver on surround mode and that is when I notice that the surround sound speakers are producing little to no sound. I agree that 2 channel is the best but if I am trying to get the same volume out of the rear speakers as well. As I mentioned, the competitors systems can do it and I was just wondering if Polk can do it.
