Looks so good in black!

Looks like the price for a used one is significantly less than new! $6,635 shipped vs the $9,995 msrp!

Still would like to get ears on this bad boy at some point, but can't afford it even at the used price!
Anyone here have fond experiences with BAT gear?

Victor K. says to RT1, send BAT to me I fix BAT. I miss Ted.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

Apropos of nothing and FWIW, I like Victor Khomenko-- seems like a down-to-earth guy.
He's been stirring things up at audioasylum lately, though, in the geopolitical sphere (so to speak).
Back to hifi: He's a reel to reel tape nut, too -- big points on the scoreboard of life in my book!

I'd like to get ears on some BAT stuff. I wounder though how expensive is tube replacement and their availability. It also doesn't seem like they're candidates for much tube rolling either.

~ 2006 I had a BAT VK3i with internal phono board and remote options. Those two options bumped the price $1K retail. The phono card had switchable gain (44/58 dB) for MM or MC cartridges. It took four 6922 and two 6V6 tubes. I replaced the stock Sovteks with Siemens/Phillips ECG 7308's and a pair of Pope 6V6GT's from Upscale. Pre and phono board sounded good, I recall dynamic and warm.
I could have went BAT pre amp with the 6H30 tube, but went with an ARC Ref 3 instead (6H30P) tubes. I think that's the tube pittdog alluded to. Not much choices for tube rolling with 6H30 like with a 6922.

Yesterday it was $5,500 but he must've just seen this one sell so he raised the price to $6,500 lol.
