Sorry guys, i have hunted for 35mins now and cant find the post regarding these surrounds. This is for the members that were contemplating assembling them from parts bought through polk. The speaker cabinets can be purchased for $236each.The crossovers are part No. re0515-3 and they are $75each. Hope this all helps all members that were following this thread. Again sorry i couldn't add to the thread, i did try.:)

Thanks for the repost. I did e-mail Polk and the reply stated that the crossovers, mid, tweets and the dipole/bipole switch were the only things avalible for them. I hopefully will be calling this week and placing an order for the parts (I don't know about the cabnets I was thinking of building my own) and find out exactly seeing that we have gotten two simular replys and when the build starts I will start a thread w/ pics on the progress. I was thinking of sending them (free of shipping) to a willing member to get a side by side sound comparison. The differance would be I will be using the driver assembly's from the RTi38's I have in the closet and possibly the materal used to make the cabnet (I can use solid Oak or MDF or anything a member thinks would be best and like to see).

    Thanks

    Dave

I would use MDF with an oak veneer. It would be closer to the actual construction used.

If your trying to mimic the performance, I'd try to mimic the construction as closely as possible, too.

    Just my .02...

Thaks Dave am really keen to see the end product. Considered ordering the parts but after conversion of the $ as Brody said in another thread its all very expensive for us kiwis. Will have to wait for a second hand pair come up.
