RTI12 biamping
I have the 950/770 combo by Outlaw and I am running the Polks RTI12's. I am not using my 6 and 7 channels, so I used those channels to double the power on the mains (400 watts per speaker, he he). I used the y-splitter on the processor inputs for the left and right fronts. My question, is there a way to check to see if I am correctly getting all 400 watts per speaker. I can hear a diff. but I just want to be certain that everything is fine. For those of you who think a subwoofer won't make a diff. for these towers, you are wrong. I have the psw505 and it still produces the extra bass that the 12's can't produce. I went from 200 watts per channel to 400 watts per channel (mains only) and I am just wondering what you guys think.

There's a substantial difference between 400 wpc and 200 wpc * 2 (biamped) ... The tweeters won't draw much and as a result with no high pass filter ahead of the amp most of the power will be wasted.
As far as the 505's .vs. the 12's go ... the former hits lower by 2 hz at - 3dB ... so lower ? yes, but not by much ... -
nevermind fellows, I went back with my original biwires. I am now feeding 200 watts per main. The 400 watts per main didn't make enough difference for me to justify them.
