Hi all!

I just want to ask your opinion on this matter..

I got an RM6700 and PSW404 upgrade from CC/Polk promo and so far it sounds really great! Then I just saw a Fry's ad having the RM7200 for just additional $99 (of the price I bought RM6700/404). The RM7200 was my first choice but its price was way too high when I bought my RM6700/404. I still have more than a wk to return the system to CC (their 30 day policy..)

Now, I'm trying to compare the 2 systems and found out that 404 sub is a lot better than PSW550 (of RM7200). But the 7200 subs are just a little bit better than 6700 sats specs wise. Materials used is probably the difference maker but I'm not sure.. Here's the sat's differences I found.

Lower -3dB Limit
RM7200 32Hz
RM6700 38Hz

Frequency Response
RM7200 28Hz - 23kHz
RM6700 28 - 24kHz

Enclosure
RM7200 Vented via rear-mounted Power Port
RM6700 Vented via Power Port

Any ideas? Anybody who had compared the 2 systems??
I'm thinking that I may be downgrading my sub (PSW404) a lot if I choose the better 7200 sats (with the 550 sub)

Btw, I got the Onkyo TXSR601 receiver to complement the system..

Appreciate any response. Thanx a lot!

    Hi Jamie,

I brought the topic to Ken (Polk) and learned that sat wise, RM6700 and RM7200 is comparable (RM7200 sat has a bit better materials)

The deciding factor is the sub. My current PSW404 is a lot better that PSW550. You can check the specs at polk.com.

I ended up with my current RM6700 and PSW404 and very happy with it. =)
