Hi Guys,

When I start playing a record the arm will not raise and automatically and leave the rest-clamp. In order for it to move I need to give it a gentle tap. But when I do hit stop it automatically goes back to the rest clamp. Does anyone know what adjustments I may need to do?

Kind regards,

That turntable has an 'electro-dynamic servo control tonearm', which utilizes integrated chips (ICs), and magnetic fields to move the arm up-and-down, and left-and-right. Did this just start suddenly, or had it sat for awhile unused?

Since it works when you give it a tap, maybe it just needs a little cleaning inside the tonearm mechanism.
