    See above.^^^^^^^^

Click here for general rules on placement. It mentions the height and triangle spaces plus...experimentation to your likings.

Howdy @btubbs! Nice loudspeakers! Which era of 7s? By all means, pleas post a photo if you have the inclination. :)

We just had an interesting if a bit esoteric discussion on stands, as fate would have it. :)

Now, I am not trying to be mean... but... umm... that Crown amp might not be the best choice of amplification for those Polks. Got any other options in the house?

Welcome! I really liked my series 2 Monitor 7's back when I was in college. I had to replace the tweeters after playing them too loud for too long at a dorm party, so don't do what I did! Enjoy them!

    Welcome!
A few months back, I found a nice pair of original 7 speakers with the original boxes. Like you, I’m looking for stands, but I need to find the original short style!
I have a pair of second and third generation stands to trade for the ones I need. What generation of 7s do you have? Post some pics!
I’ve learned a lot from this site. The guys are a tremendous wealth of knowledge. 2 thumbs up.

Hi all, I've found some S4 monitors for sale here in Australia. Haven't heard them yet but plan to. One owner from new! He says they are from late '80s/early '90s. Looks like 5 way binding posts? He tells me they also have magnetic grills,? Apparently perfect condition. Should I consider these or go for a new discontinued pair of RTi a3's at half the retail price? I have heard these and do like them.

The SL5000 tweeters sound great, but you have to make sure the tweeter mount tabs haven't cracked over time or the magnets can easily fall off their bezel frames.
