OK, so I got a little behind on my 'junk' email account (@ Yahoo)
I just now saw one from yesterday (5 July) from Parts Express that... well... kinda surprised me.

I am surprised Polk has any interest in car-fi anymore. Maybe that is why it is at Parts Express. Good to know though.

Will it play BBC radio though

I'm sure the car and marine market is profitable for Polk
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

That's interesting. I knew at one time Polk had a high (ish) profile in mobile hifi -- I did not know that was still the case. Then again, it's an area I've never paid much attention to myself.

I used to have the late 80's early 90's Mobile Monitors in my car. They basically looked like the MWs in the vintage Polk home speakers.

They basically were. Same idea but more robust surrounds, baskets and motor structure to survive being put in a car door and stuff.

They weren't as sensitive as the drivers from the home speakers so they needed more power to run them but they looked and sounded just like the home speakers.

I'm guessing their focus is not just auto but marine which has shown growth over the years. Folks are putting big systems in their boats these days and adding in the latest tech.
