I have 2 items.

Marantz SR-7400 A/V receiver. It is loaded and as new. I will put a link here because there is a long list of spec's on this receiver.

http://www.marantz.com/hifi/america/main.html

$600.00 plus shipping.

Next, I have a Zenith DTV-1080 high definition Directv satellite receiver. Selling because I am now on local digital cable. This unit works like a champ. I have not had the first problem with it.
This is a give away. I paid $780.00 two years ago. $180.00 plus shipping.

I am in SC at zip 29732

Thanks for looking,
Jimmie

    Hey Jimmie,

I know the feeling. I was going to place dibs on the HDTV rec, but I need to sell some items myself. Good luck with sell.

Buy with confidence. Jimmie's a trust-worthy and all around great guy.

    Hi Terry,
I am thinking about the Marantz sr-8400. I like the Marantz because they are very musical. I haven't ruled out a Yamaha 2400. Do you still have the Yamaha Receiver? How do you like it?

I just had cable tv installed. That is why I am selling the Zenith HD receiver. I had to use the hd receiver that came from the cable company. My plans were to take the output of the cable tv and run it to the input of the Zenith then out to my equipment but that didn't work. After I got everything set up and tweaked I was surprized that the cable could look this good. I now have my phone service, cable tv, cable modem, and cell phone all at the same place. One draft each month and it's taken care of. They also knock off 15.00 of the total bill each month because of having it all through them. Makes life a little more simple.

    Jimmie,

Not to bust your chops, I just found a Marantz SR 7400 on ebay for $500 plus shipping that is BRAND NEW in the box (not a refurb). I'll offer $450 including shipping. I am in Rochester, NY. A couple of questions:
    Is it is good shape?
    Any extended warranty?
    Does it have the remote?
    Remote in good shape?
    Box & manuals?

Let me know, I can paypal money immediately.

Here is link to auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14981&item=5704702387&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I have been a member since the board didn't require registering. But when I registered, I had to sell my home theater system. I moved out of the parents house and into a apartment. Now I am buying a house and rebbuilding my home theater. For my lurker award, what do i get?

Hmmmmm.....I don't think Cooden's sig is appropriate on this forum. You don't see me or anyone else promoting their own business.

    Cooden,
Check again, That 500.00 is not a "buy it now" item. It still has three days left on a 5 day bid. The $500.00 is what the seller put down as a starting bid. There have not been any bids on it yet. Typically the serious bidding begins right before the auction ends. Let's wait and see what it goes for when the auction ends. Go back and check it and correct me if I am wrong. There is one for sale over at audioreview.com classifieds listed for $795.00 plus shipping.

When I want to sell anything I usually research it on the web as if I were going to buy it. I find the absolute best price and come under it (with an item in this price range) by at least $100.00. I really am not doing this to be a good guy. I do this to move the item quickly so I can go on to my next upgrade.

This receiver is, like I said, like new. It has not been exposed to smoke ,pets or small children. I run a fan on it which comes on when the receiver comes on. It has never run even overly warm. I listen to light classical and easy listening type music and very little loud movie stuff. It has always been played at a very reasonable level. I have the original box, remote, and manual. I think if you look around anywhere on the internet or local dealers you will not find one for this price used or refurbished .

    Thanks,
    Jimmie

Jimmie's a good guy to deal with. I got a subwoofer driver off him at a greatly discounted price. Very concientious and easy to work with.

    regards

    Dave

How's the speak scan working out btw?

    Jimmie,

Let me know, I will keep a eye on the ebay auction. A lot of times though if a product sits to the last day, I'll throw the seller an e-mail and say I'll give him his asking price including shipping. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Like, I said I just started visiting the forum again cause I juts bought a house and trying to get some good stuff on my budget. Hey, I'm Italian, it's in my blood, I have to try to haggle people on here for deals ;) Keep me posted.

    Cooden,
That is worth a try. Then if you don't get it you are not out anything. If you do get it you will have gotten a super deal.

Hi Dave, the scan -speak is sounding great. I have it in a 11" cube unvented. It took a while to get it ajusted but now it is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small sub that blended in good but would not be over whelming. I hope you are enjoying the sub you got from me.

    Cheers,
    Jimmie
