Not sure why I am doing this 2hr drive for some Monitor 7's, something to do, nice drive to the springs area I guess. Been looking for a pair for some time now to play with, always regretted selling my pair many moons ago.. Oh well off we go.. LOL!!!

The first step is to admit you have a problem. ;)

Everything is in working order, the tweeters are a little rough, but I didn’t plan on keeping them anyway..

And looking at one of the drivers, I’m not sure it’s a 6502, someone taped the label on the magnet.

Also you can see they didn’t put the leads where they belong LOL!!

So definitely a replacement, everything else looks good..

Did the 7C’s come with the SL1000 Tweeters? I have never had any Polk's with the SL1000’s.. The 84 Specs don’t show a tweeter call out. ..

Polk called the Peerless the SL1000.

I think they were like.....lets call it anything but a Peerless tweeter. They even had an escutcheon plate they put over it to make it look different early on but I don't think they continued with that very long.

I have seen it referred to as HF1000 most often. I've never been sure if that one adv. I saw it referred to as SL1000 was a mistake or what, but yeah.
