Woolworths on Broadway downtown Los Angeles in the mid 70's. Memories of helping my mother carry her purchases and being rewarded with a slice of pepperoni pizza and an ice cold coke.

When did Blockbuster get out of business?
As part of the deal Blockbuster had to pay a $5 per share dividend which caused Blockbuster to take out a $905 million loan to pay for the dividend. By the time Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in 2010 it had $1 billion in debt

When did The Last Blockbuster close?
Blockbuster LLC closed all of their corporate-owned stores by early 2014, leaving the Bend location as one of 50 remaining franchise stores. In July 2018, it became the last remaining Blockbuster in the United States, and in March 2019 the last in the world.
