Sub build input ideas

Good morning all. Going to build a cabinet for sub to mate with rt35i Polk. Can build any design. Mainly want extremely accurate at lower volumes. Don't want to spend too much. Used Dayton products and seem good bang for the buck and huge selection. Only building one cabinet one driver. Any input would be appreciated. Gave a neighbor an old Sony sub that sounded dull thumpy. And bad to terrible at low volume. Was a cheap model friend gave to me. Want it passive and will drive it with dedicated amp pioneer from the 70s. Not sure of watts don't know where it is just now but drove the Sony sub 10inch just fine no plopping. Amazing how that old stuff was build to last. Any input is appreciated! Michael marmarasmichael@gmail.com

Hi Michael, this is a fun project but lots of questions. First and foremost, budget. Second, how big are you willing to go? A full Marty cube is the size of a small fridge, but will fill a large room with enormous output into the low teens hz. Third, what are your goals? Music or home theater or both?

Doesn’t seem to be spamming anything, but does appear to not be very bright.

Red Bank is a great town. Count Basie Theater etc.. Seems like friendly enthusiasm to me combined with speech to text glitches.
