    R.I.P. Gilbert.

I always wished I could communicate like him. :D

He was unique like Rodney Dangerfield. They could speak a couple of words and you'd know who they were.

I liked Gilbert's outlook on things a lot.

The "you fool" by Gilbert episode of the Hollywood squares show.

I thought the exact same thing. I even told my wife about how average size she was back then.

I agree 100% about his voice being RASPY as the reviews stated. His voice took me to the edge of :s but it was strangely listenable like Tiny Tims was. For a period of time, not all day kind of bearable.

He was one of those comedians who had to go into 'character' in order to try and be funny. I never really 'got it', but in that genre, he was one of the best. RIP
