I thought this listing might be of interest, looking back when these recordings were just being released.

In a similar vein, I'll share this from the 1979 (and last ) LRE catalog:

I remember when the Beatles collection on MoFi came out I was working for a stereo shop in Annapolis called Spaceways Sound and we sold those records. I thought $325.00 was way beyond what I could possibly afford to spend on records. I know the store's owner bought one set as an investment.

Those prices… it’s enough to make one cry. Gerry Rafferty MFSL FOR $17?? I’ve been hunting for one of those I can afford for years."Conservative Libertarians love the country, progressive leftists love the government." - Andrew Wilkow

About ten years ago, a thrift store in Fayetteville NC, I picked up (I think) 5 minty Sheffields for a a buck each. The Wagner is good....the rest? Glorious recordings of absolute garbage.
I've gotten some Nautilus Super Discs on the cheap....one that come to mind is a couple of Doobie Brothers albums that I've always wondered why they bothered......
One of my favorite early MoFi's is Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown.....
Also, I just ordered 2 UHQR's for Jimi Hendrix Are You Experienced.....one to play, one to hoard.
I plan for the future. - F1Nut -
Anybody have an opinion of the Pretenders album?

Well, it's a very good record -- I've never encountered a half-speed mastered version of it, though.

I surprised to see STICKY FINGERS listed as it is considered in some circles as not MoFi's best records.

The Hendrix UHQR is great. I received it last week and it sounds great. Chad Kassem and the team at AP are releasing a lot of great albums. I got to talk with Chad for a few minutes at Axpona last weekend. He set my expectations high for 2022 & 2023.

I have the mofi sacd of the first few albums from them. Sounds better than the original cd but, the mastering on the original was up and down. Like the first album, brass in pocket was good but some of the other songs that I like better doesn't sound as good as that song. It's like each song was recorded differently.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.
