Atrium5 mounted horizontally
Per the manual, you can physically mount them horizontally. But I know with bookshelf speakers they shouldn't be run horizontally to crossovers and lobing and such.
Are the Atrium5 speakers designed acoustically to operate horizontally?
Thx!

Does it really matter for outdoor listening? Just mount them however you want.

Their marketing photos show you can mount them either vertical or horizontal.

Thanks much for the replies. Sorry, I should have been more clear with the use case. These are already in use as on ceiling and on wall surround/Atmos speakers. Obviously the ceiling mounted pair is mounted horizontally. Currently the surround pair is mounted vertically. Due to the nature of the room, they have to mounted higher than is optimal so I would like to switch to a horizontal position so I can angle them down towards the listening position. For this case it may be more critical for them to be acoustically designed to run sideways.

Not critical, especially since they're for surround/atmos.

Sounds like a non issue so I'm gonna go for it. Thank you again everyone.
