Just bought an SPL sound meter from radio shack so I can set up my HT system. Just wondering what my settings should be on the meter and on my receiver. Response, weighting, DB level on meter and what level should I set my master volume on on my receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciated......THANKS

I set my meter up to read 90 db, c weighting, slow response. As far as the receiver, turn it up until you get a steady 85 db from the mains and go from there....

That's how I do my HT. The best person to ask is Dr. Spec for a complete run down.
