New Back Patio Going In - Help w/ Atrium Speaker Setup?

Options
Greetings, all.

Our back yard/pool patio area is dug up awaiting a layer of natural stone. I've had a couple of Atrium 5's and an Atrium Sub 10 in my attic for probably 8 years and I want to get them installed as part of this patio renovation project.

I've attached a photo of what the patio looked like before we ripped everything up. The amp will be in the room just to the right of the chimney.

• My initial thought is to put the 5's across the pool, mounted on the fence, so they're not facing the neighbors, which would be the case if they were mounted under eaves of the house. Does this sound reasonable? The more I think about it the more I think I need to nix that idea and just put them under the eaves.

• Any advice on placement of the sub in relation to the speakers?

• Can anyone provide suggestions about wiring? Should take the opportunity, before the stone goes in, to lay cable underneath (assuming the 10's end up on the fence on the other side of the pool)? If so, should I run it though PVC or something similar?

• Any suggestions on cable? (I know.. I just touched the third rail of audio forums, but...)

Thanks so much -
