My L800’s are big… they are on medium thickness carpet and have no spikes. I slid some cardboard under them before and it worked okay but was still a lot of work, especially because one is by a corner (to some degree).
Maybe there’s an easier way.

Whenever I go to set up my rig in a new environment, I set my main speakers on butcher block type cutting boards. It adds weight but it makes them much easier to move, toe in, measure, etc while on carpet. As soon as I find their optimum location, I loose them and continue tweaking. FWIW.

I always use a 3/4" thick MDF cut a tad larger than the speaker base for the sliders. Speakers sit on top & make sliding around a breeze. Works great for subs also...& of course furniture.
