Butcher Block table

Someone in the neighborhood was remodeling and gave me these pieces. I just installed some hair pin legs that Jeff Bezos sent me. I offered to tung -oil them, but wifey wants them bare looking....

    They're going to her office, and as with most women she changed her mind when I showed her the oil applied on the bottoms for comparison...

    This past weekend I was in Carlisle PA and the near by coffee shop (Denim Coffee) had butcher block tables. Something I noticed was how warped they were getting and the different woods swollen differently. I suspect they were not sealed very well and were subjected to lots of washing.

    Very good espresso drinks at Denim Coffee by the way and very friendly staff.
