Little Feat live at ultra-sonic studios

On Qobuz, they have a high-resolution version of Little Feat Electrif Lycanthrops: Live at Ultra-Sonic Studios 1974. Outstanding!! Very good quality recording and music. I am kind of ticked at myself for not hearing this before.

Sweet!! I'm listening to it now and trying to determine if it is the same stuff I downloaded from the Internet Archives years ago that someone probably recorded off of FM radio. This is obviously much greater quality.

Edit - After the first 2 songs I can confirm that it is the same. OMG so much better though. The dynamic range from the FM recorded material was good but this is pretty off the charts.

Streamed it yesterday, loved it but hate the asking prices of the record :(

Some very good recordings from Ultrasonic (I managed to score a record). Also check out Bonnie Raitt from when she was traveling around in a van with her band (also out on vinyl).

  • The vinyl from RSD blew me away. Couldn't stop listening to it the first few weeks I had it. Missed it on RSD but Newbury comics had some leftovers they had up for shipping.

  • Its such a good compliment to waiting for colombus. WFC giving the full arena rock version of the Feat while this is so earthy and vibey. Lowell Georges vocal is so versatile
