Announced today that Columbus Metro area will be the home of a new $20B chip manufacturing facility.

    That'll likely be as impactful as Honda to the Central Ohio area eventually.

    The initial fabrication plant planned for New Albany is just the first investment.

    That's fantastic news. I'd like to see more manufacturing back in the US. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if the quality is there. Be great to see Lumberton, NC Converse All-Stars again. Leave me alone. I can dream.

    Seems they're popping up all over here in Phoenix metro. Intel 20B, TSMC broke ground on a 12B plant, with 6 total plants planned for AZ. No wonder my property doubled in 6 yrs.

    Latest update, this will be the largest semiconductor plant in the world. Estimates are a $100B total Investment in the next 20 years according to other sources.
