Crutchfield's got the Audiolab Omnia in stock:

    https://www.crutchfield.com/p_248OMNIABK/Audiolab-Omnia-Black.html

Signal-to-noise ratio: 76 dB. That is not very good.

Crutchfield has a typo on the SNR.

Audiolab specs indicate the A-weighted SNR pre/power sections at 110dB, and DAC at 114dB, on their website.

I can’t post the link here probably b/c it is a UK website, tried 3x, lol.

The phono section is 76dB SNR rated which is fine and ordinary. The owner’s manual is posted on the Crutchfield product page. They should probably correct the description.

I think that is an error on Crutchfield’s part. Audiolab specs A-weighted SNR of 110 dB for amp, 110 dB for preamp, and 114 dB for DAC on their website:

Crutchfield botched the SNR, I think.

Audiolab specs the A-weighted SNR for pre and amp at 110dB, and DAC at 114dB.

Smaller scratch sequence on Death Cab disc, but this was previously mint condition!:

Damn, that is unacceptable. I pride myself on mint condition discs and if that happened to me I would be livid.

Yeah, if the device damages the media that is quite unacceptable. I also pride myself on minty media.

I really like this player, and that caused me to wait too long to return it under the trial period.

It also had me second-guessing if I was doing something wrong with so many satisfied customers out there, who don’t seem to complain of this issue.

I have been using it more recently and seem to be having good success not seeing more scratches. Makes me wonder if it’s a break-in kinda thing. 🤷🏼

I think people should know it can happen, though.

I have two Tributes .. one I bought brand new and another one for 271.00 because at the time I had a 15 percent off coupon at MD and they were selling as “open box” at a discount.

Turns out it was actually new stock when it arrived on my doorstep ! Bravo MusicDirect !!

Love the sound of these special players .. knock on wood no issues either.

I really think they punch way way above their weight imo. I use one for my downstairs A/V system and one for my upstairs Audio only system

    :)

And here I though CDs were just for ripping?? People actually still listen to them??😂😂

Why the heck would I want to take the time and effort to rip my CD collection when I can simply play them in one of my excellent CD/SACD players. The ripping notion never made a lick of sense to me and never will.

Nobody suggested that you should take the time to rip anything brother! You just took a polk (😊) at the old way that ol Tophat used to make it happen! I have moved on since then to a whole new level and way of doing things! Granted I have ripped thousands on top of thousands of cds (so many I couldn’t even think of real estate in my 3000’ square foot house to store them so there’s that! That was 45k albums ago! My current library has over 70k albums and I slowly turned it into a small business and it’s been great ! Sorry you missed the humor I was sharing, especially with the lol faces! Heck Still get demo cds from bands that would like to snag my old but outta the house to perform and i listen to their cds through a dvd player 😂

Yes it’s all good any way we find to listen to music! Taking my library anywhere I go is nothing short of amazing and the quality is to date unmatched with what’s out there so as long as you are happy with plopping cds into your player I’m truly happy for ya! You already know i love you!! That’ll never change !

Yeah, that's insane. It seems like I've been ripping albums for almost 20 years (greatly accelerated in the last 8 years) and my Daphile only shows 1600 albums.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...
