Three pairs (2.0m length) Wireworld Oasis 8 ICs, in like new condition.

One (2.0m length) Wireworld Stratus 7 Power Conditioning Cable, previously loved by fellow Polkie @erniejade.

I purchased the ICs from authorized dealer, Sound Approach, on 10/17/2021. Retail price is $480.00, but received 10% discount, so only paid $432.00.

These truly are like new (only 2 months old, not currently being used).

The Stratus 7 was sold to me by @erniejade for $70. A new Stratus 7 (2.0m) is $120.00.

Again asking $450.00 for all, free shipping included.

New for all would be $600.00; with a 10% discount at Sound Approach would be $540.00.

Sonic characteristics of the Oasis 8 ICs:

My impressions were of great soundstaging width, depth, and height. Noticed especially on Rush’ Tom Sawyer, Neil Peart’s drum solo was further back in the stage, but life-sized, and panning left-to-right and back again was spectacular.

There was also incredible smoothness, which seemed to stem from noise reduction with these cables inserted; there was less grit, grain, and glare. This also gave the impression of liquidity, which I have only previously ascribed as a characteristic of tubes in my system.

My opinion is that these cables present everything on a recording, but are slightly forgiving. As a result, this came across as a bit of warmth in my system, which I otherwise considered to be neutral-sounding before adding these.

IMO, these are a good match for either an unforgiving system that needs a little taming, an electrically noisy system, and/or someone who wants to introduce a little warmth to their overall sound.

Sonic characteristics of the Stratus 7:

Please keep in mind that this is a power conditioning cable. I understand this to mean that it is attempting to clean up electrical signal that it is passing to the equipment. Please research this a bit yourself if you are unsure whether this is for you.

I run all of my gear through a Cyberpower back-UPS, line purifier, voltage regulator, surge protector, and learned I do not need what the Stratus 7 provides.

As such, it seems great run directly to the wall socket. I tried it connected to my tube DAC, preamp, amp, and subwoofer amp.

My favorite implementation was with my sub as it seemed to further tighten an already detailed sounding sub (REL HT1003).

Was asked if will split up. My preference is to sell the whole set to keep shipping costs down, and because I thought someone might like to have WW house sound from wall socket throughout the signal chain.

If I don’t find a taker for the set. I may later consider splitting up. Not in a hurry though.

First dibs on the Stratus 7 will go to @pearsall001, if I do decide to separate.

UPDATE: OASIS 8 ICs are no longer available for sale.

Months after I purchased the Oasis 8 ICs, I stumbled across the packaging for them and called Sound Approach from whom I purchased them, and they generously conceded to my request to allow for return well after the normal return period, but with a 20% re-stocking fee.

Happy that they were willing to work with me, I got most of my purchase price back as store credit.
