    Actually, I'm certain Polk doesn't honor OEM warranty on "refurb" stock. Although, Fry's certainly can give/sell a warranty on anything they sell...

    If for no other reason, I'm grateful that Spydie was able to formulate a thought of his own, albeit warped and useless......

    Francis didn't only PM people I was involved with. He PM'd several that had speakers being bought specifically for them. This isn't something that only affects me, but since it was brought up to me by several people, you're damned right I'm going to post about it.

    I absolutely disagree (obviously) with any arguement that this isn't information for the forum to be aware of. This type of "crap" that Francis was trying to pull is what ends up getting people screwed over here. Should it have ended up that Francis sold his speakers and I was to be left holding the bag for speakers that I went out and purchased because someone said they wanted them?

    All those in favor of being screwed like that raise your hands.....I mean, let's at least let those that have no problem being screwed be the first one's in line.......

    Spydie has no problem with you going to the Political Forum, but don't ask him any questions. He goes into stealth mode at that point. If you want to see his cut and paste skills, there's plenty of BS to wade through......

    While I don't condone it, I would've given francis1967 a PM and tried to resolve is respectfully. IF someone accepted his offer after asking you to buy them locally, then your beef would be with the person who reneged... But alas, that didn't happen and now we have this little mess to deal with...

    Spydies opinions don't count here......so basically this thread falls under the same premise as the Political Forum with regard to him.

    Amulford, no I didn't take a loss, but when I got notes from 2 out of the 3 people that I had purchased and sent speakers to, that set off a flag that I needed to raise here for everyone.

    For those that did receive PM's like this from Francis, please post it here. I'm curious what the total count is since he already played it off above as it only being a few (which is now 5+)......

    1. Francis did something not okay ON THE FORUM.

    2. Brett, observant of this, called him out and kicked his ****, ON THE FORUM.

    3. People ON THE FORUM, became enlightened.

    4. Francis, wisely, apologized (with what appears to be genuine sincerity) to the entire forum, ON THE FORUM.

    5. Brett has graciously accepted Francis' apology, ON THE FORUM.

    6. Francis has demonstrated the ability to curse real well (probably in 4 languages) after a 15 year lapse. This can't be easy, shows ME at least, some real social redeeming value, and is probably good FOR THE FORUM. Francis appears to be bright enough to understand (probably in 4 languages) that for awhile, he'll be watched like there's no tomorrow. Comes with his venture into the new territory.

    6a. The only thing left is for spyderman to drop stone freakin' dead, and then go back to the little cage that Justin fixed him up with.

    Having said that........my $0.02, I am glad to see that there is a feeling of looking out for everyones back, and that, on a whole, the forum is going to protect its own. I have sold a speaker through this forum, and as a realitive newbie at the time, and I was treated fairly, with respect, and the transaction went very smooth.

    Mr. grand sums it up well.......done deal.

    I was going to stay out of this, until I read your post spydie. I was one of the guys picking up speaks for polkies AS A FAVOR! I didn't have to offer my time, or my money to help these guys, but I did because I like this forum and the people on it. Turns out that francis went behind our backs and tried to sell to one of the guys that I was buying for. Kinda pisses you off. You spend your time and money just to help someone out, with no gain for yourself, and some **** tries to can the deal for his selfish benefit. I have gained nothing (monetarily) by getting these speaks for people, so it is not like he's undercutting my exhorbitant prices and taking a sale. It is more like stealing from a charity. I did this for free, and eventhough none of my people went to him for the 7's, it still is a knife in the back. Don't you see we were just trying to help others on the forum? Do you really think that my only beef would be with a person who reneged? Sure I would have issues with them as well, but it would never have happened if francis wouldn't have gone out of his way to sour the deal in the first place. Again I want to emphasize that I did not sell these for profit. If you really want to break it down, I took a loss. I could have been doing other things that needed to be done, rather than buy speakers, ship speakers, organize who wants what etc... I understand you have issues with Brett, but you stuck your foot so far in your mouth every time you sit down it leaves a shoe print. Seriously man, think before you type, and try to put yourself in our shoes. I could have been out a lot of money and time if this would have happened to me, all for trying to help a fellow polkie. And we're the one's showing a lack of character. Good to see you're a champion of the dishonest. Quit being an ****.:rolleyes:

    BTW thanks to Mskeezer and michael_w for not **** me when I was trying to help. At least most of us are trustworthy.
