Hey all, just wanted to document this solution for anyone else who may run into this problem.
Recently I got my hands on an RT2000 amp with an AC hum. The hum would get louder when turning the volume knob up; quieter when turning it down. Since this was obviously a grounding issue, I tore the ground plug out to see if that would make the hum go away. The hum persisted. Somehow the amp was not grounding properly. I went through and tested the continuity of all the things connected to the ground circuit. Everything came back normal. That is when I noticed a broken lead next to the ground pin from the transformer going nowhere.
See photo below:
The lead J105A is supposed to connect the ground circuit on both circuit boards to the sliver aluminum frame in the background. I removed the broken leads, threw a new jumper in there, and voila, no more hum!

I certainly won't be the last person who runs into this problem. Hopefully, your repair is as simple as mine!
Cheers
