Issue with Polk Command Bar with HDMI Arc

Hi, I have samsung UN65NU7100 model. I use to connect my polk soundbar to my smart TV using optical cable. However sound seems to coming less when I compare with connecting it with my phone Bluetooth and play songs.
Thinking optical cable is not passing great sound to soundbar so to get good sound output I have tried connecting HDMI arc port on soundbar. However sound is not coming from it at all. Could you please let me know how to troubleshoot this issue?
Also may I know how to connect the soundbar using aux in or 3.5mm audio cable?
