In-wall speakers

I currently have Polk Audio LSiM702 F/X speakers as my side and rear surrounds. I’m seriously considering purchasing the 265-LS in-walls to serve as my side and rear surrounds. I currently have a 7.4.6 surround sound system but the few things I’ve read say a direct firing speaker will work better as surround speakers in a Atmos setup. Any thoughts on what you guys would think would serve as better surrounds? I understand most bookshelf speakers sound better than in-walls but do you think I would benefit going with direct firing in-wall speakers. The thought of the speakers sitting flush on the walls is a good selling point but would the sound quality suffer any? Thanks in advance!

Couldn't any differences be minimized by running Audessey/YPAO or whatever room calibration software you use?

I would certainly hope so, my processor uses ARC room correction. My fear is other that my Atmos ceiling speakers, never used in-wall speakers before. I guess the fear of lack of bass response and/or just sounding thin due to the speakers not being in a enclosed cabinet. The enclosure with in-walls will basically just be 2 studs, insulation and drywall, not really sure how in-walls can sound all that great but a lot of people have stated in-walls have come a long way SQ wise.

In wall speakers have great bass... Infinite baffle, all that
