Wall mounting R100

Can I wall mount or keep R100 speakers close to the wall? Will it distort the sound output in anyway?

Closer doesn't necessarily mean close.
I don't think they're designed for wall mounting (at least if one wants to use them full-range).
The manual doesn't even mention positioning other than in multichannel/HT configurations.

FWIW, my R200s are about 6 feet out into the room. I would think at least a couple of feet(??).

Being rear ported they'll need room to breathe.

Thanks! I was hoping the X-PORT technology would somehow make it possible to place it closer to the wall. Do you have any suggestion on the ideal distance this speaker should be placed away from the wall?

Will these be your mains or surround speakers in a HT setup?

Yeah -- I'd keep them away from the back wall if at all possible. I am guessing that their rather good stereo/3D imaging would suffer from being up against the wall (muvva...), irrespective of the effect on LF extension.

Yep, if they will be your primary speakers then you definitely don't want to wall mount them or put them right up against the wall. I would say 2' away from the wall at minimum would be a good starting point.

I have the same issue. I need to mount the R100s on the right and left of my 77" TV and do not have room for stands, especially not 2 feet off the wall. What happens if I mount them to the wall with a Monoprice swivel mount?
