I own the original srs and haven't yet heard the 1.2's ever!
If polk make a set of 1.2's with the L800 hi def drivers ,i'd be all over them!
  • Are the refurbished 1.2's still available? I had the 2.3TL's in college--bought new in a stereo store. I'm ready to be reunited with them--or similar

Yes, they are sold. John and I are working on the delivery details.

I sold a pair of 2.3TL’s before moving CA 5 years ago. Two months ago, I bought another pair with 3 non-working tweeters. I ordered the new tweeters, but UPS lost them somewhere. I might sell them after listening to John’s 1.2TL’s.

Too bad you need 100 posts to sell here. The rules are posted at the outset of the for sale forum.

L800s over the 1.2tls now I have heard L800s but never the 1.2tls especially ones as nice as the ones listed here. The L800s I heard were powered with a big ol Creek integrated amp that usually power a big pair of older Legacys. I liked what I heard of the L800s but wouldn't get rid of my 2.3tls for them. To who ever gets these 1.2tls enjoy them.

It was very hard to do but the direction my system is going seems to make this move the right choice. They went to the best of homes which also makes it easier. We both agreed during listening that the L800’s seemed to be the best sounding speaker in my listening space, as they work well in the room, and the TL’s tended to overwhelm it.

Room treatments are next and some upgrades to the digital/hi-res side of the rig. Arcam AVR-30 is coming....
