Polk LS 50 needing recapped?

I recently picked up a pair of Polk LS 50s in excellent condition. I was talking with a friend the other day and we were discussing if these needed recapped. I know the more vintage monitor series is considered a given on recapping but the LS series being newer do they also need recapped? Is there an age cutoff when you just know that caps need replacing?
