I'm out of town at the moment and don't have reciepts so I can't give a complete list of materials/cost. Total time thusfar, about 8 hours given the circumstances.
Progress has been hindered by several things..other projects, time with family, spending the day at the drag strip, recovering from sunburn from day at drag strip, yadda yadda..
Although the best hinderance will be happening this sunday. I'm headed down to Atlanta for three weeks to train for my new job at Tweeter!!!!! I absolutely cannot wait for this folks. It's a very exciting new chapter in my life that's about to begin.

So anyway, here's some pics.

Is something missing? Oh yeah..paint. I wanted to a dry run first, so to speak. They do have sand in them and jeez are they heavy! You'll throw out a vertebrae if you aren't careful. I put off the final touches to iron out any glitches and decide on a paint scheme. I'm glad I did, I've since decided to paint the pvc a different color than the base and top.
As for how they sound, the jury is still out. But, getting them off of the entertainment center and spreading them out helped about 6205%. My system is coming to life slowly but surely. Man I love this stuff!

Again, I'll have a complete materials list and cost rundown on friday or saturday.

Thanks Mx..I've been here there and everywhere. Taking care of different stuffs, job hunting and the like. Mostly been the den listening, tweaking..trying to find a good spot for my velodyne. Near the couch has been the trick I needed apparently. I love that couch rumble. Hey, which tweeter did you demo the 15's at?? The university location is where I heard the 9's and it was truly the most amazing sonic experience I've ever had. Of course I haven't had that much experience as it is. I'll be fixing that very soon, that's for sure. The Tweeter job is *exactly* what I've been needing.

Polkmaniac, yeah..the 40's sound excellent like that. They image well and are very clear. Very detailed. They're no lsi's but no slouches either.

We went to the Tweeter on Independence, I believe it is one of the largest Tweeters around here - either way, the LSi demo was terrible. The speakers were like 13 feet apart, on a Denon receiver - and they were pointed directly at the listener. It sounded good, but it was asking for so much more...lol

    Tweeter location - http://www.tweeter.com/corp/index.jsp?page=storeLocator&zip=28027

    I also went to Soundsystems...

go here - www.soundsystemsinc.net - that is a store in charlotte...about 45 minutes, give or take from Salisbury

They carry Adcom, Def Tech, B&W, Mcintosh, Boston, Denon, Velodyne and some other companies... pretty cool stuff in there.
