That’s a fantastic price. I saw that same price a bit ago, I think from the Polk Audio store, and I think I posted it. If you’re considering a center and have the room it’s a no-brainer.

The big & bad 706C center. That speaker was one of the highlights for me the short time I owned the LSiM set. I remember that speaker throwing rich dialog out as if it was coming from the screen. Also, the speaker helped anchor bass to the screen. What a very cool trick and I though the speaker was all around better than the CS1000p that I had before it.

The only reason I went away from the LSiM because I was set on going the DIY route and had plans to build some Bigger & Badder speakers. The center was going to be this beast:



IMO, it was one of the few that I though could top the LSiM for the given cost of ownership. IMO, that says a lot about the 706c. I never build those DIY speaks and some days I miss the 706c.

That’s about the same percent off that Polk recently offered forum members on the R200’s. Albeit “refurbed” but that often just means returned.
