I had an adcom gfa555 amp driving my 2a's it didn't really drive them all that great, it blew up twice, but my krell is doing a much better job. I've driven them with half a dozen receivers, most of them blew up, the carver receiver was the most spectacular, it shot out a huge flame. I believe it's more than just the low impedance, the sda circuit is harder on amps than normal 4ohm speakers.
