As a rule of thumb, your mains should be as far apart from each other as you sit from them. In other words picture an equalateral triangle with you and each main forming the points.

Im about 11 feet away from the tv and speakers....my speakers are 6-7 feet apart

That's about how mine are. When I had them in "triangle" configuration, they didn't sound as good for music.

I have mine where they will fit. Which works quite well. One is about 1 foot (or less) from the TV, and the other is 4 or so feet from the TV -- and it has perfect center imaging over the TV. Pretty good.
I usually tell people to get ATLEAST 3 feet on each side of your center, if you can do more...do more- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
