Rear Speaker Timbre Matching
Hi all,
I am looking to add in-ceiling rear speakers to a (currently) 3.1 family room setup. I can no longer use my old rear speakers and need to use in-ceiling this go around. Can anyone recommend rear speakers under $250.00 that can timbre match
1) Center: TSx250C
2) Books: TSx220B
I am looking at the Polk RC80i or the MC80 unless someone recommends something different. Will the RC80i timbre match the TSx speakers I have?
(I have a bedroom setup with a TSi CS10 center, and two TS100 books that I'm looking to get a pair of rear MC80's to supplement (since I saw this is a timbre match), but wanted to know what would be best for my living room setup with the TSx - series)
Thanks!

Hi all, just wanted to bump this in hopes that someone can help me.
In a nutshell-- to timbre match the TSx series (bookshelf & center), what should I buy? The Polk RC80i's or the MC80's ??
I appreciate any help or input, as I couldn't find this information on Polk's website.
Thanks. -
It's not necessary to timbre match the rears to the rest.Political Correctness'.........defined

What F1 said, the rear surround or overhead for ATMOS are not nearly as important.
IMO, this guide hits the nail on the head for most HT enthusiast out there.

That last 5% that have $20K-$1MIL dedicated theaters, might feel a little different about it... Heck, most of those theater sound better than actual movie theaters. I demoed a HT that knocked me silly during the "Ready Player One" chase scene. There was SO much going on that it was ridiculous. The experience was better than when I saw the movie 'Skyscraper' at an ATMOS theater!
