    21 is actually the volume. Almost twice as loud as 11

    Glad they went 6550 vs 88's
    IMHO the bass response is much better

    Looks like pretty much every DIY, kit, or late 1950s/early 1960s hifi amp ever made, except for the weird colors. Seems funny coming from a company that seemed to go out of their way to hide their tubes for decades.


    Cf., e.g., the EICO HF-89 or HF-87.
    Man, I'd love to have an HF-89 (or HF-87)... :)

    Ya know, I believe a few here bought those Carvers when they came out. I'd like to see some reviews of them from those who have had time now living the dream.

    btw...the AR is sexy as hell.

    That's dirt cheap in my opinion for an ARC new off the bench. All you have to do is stop drinking that stupid Starbucks triple moca latte every day for a few years and it's paid for!
