Notification Question

I'm not getting notices pop'n up when I visit site. I see no Red notice
Here is what I stumbled on in notification list (see pic) . When I visit site shouldnt I see a Red notice by my avatar on top right ?

    Where is the wall ? I've build a few in my time. Do I need to turn something else on here on ? I do get emails no problem there. Thx

    Thank you.. I will look into that. Things have changed way too many times with forum Vanilla & the recent forum Shut Down awhile back. I kinda of miss years ago. Everything keeps getting worse. By the time I figure it out. It will change again. Thank you kindly......
