That Pioneer RG-1 is a Robert Grodinsky licensed dynamic range enhancer that isn't at all bad. Pioneer had a higher end line called Series 20 (they had a true class A amplifier that sounded very good) and they put the RG-1 out in that series as well.

I dunno what the big attraction to the Pioneer CS speakers is.....other than the cabinets are gorgeous. Whole lotta bad sound.

This place is less than an hour away from me. I always see them advertising vintage audio auctions similar to this but have never gone. Most of the time it's the older tombstone style radios that they have.
