    Very early on, the Dead used some Altec Voice of the Theaters (A7s, most likely). Personally, I'd hold out for those, since they'll actually sound pretty good. They used a Mac amplifier, of course (MC-240, methinks) -- as was their wont.

    There's a photo in Blair Jackson's nifty book Grateful Dead Gear, but I can't find the image on teh webz. :| I will dig one up anon.

    Personally. Unless you are deep into Psilocybin, the dead is mediocre at best. From what I was told. From others. Honest.
