To the ladies in our lives

Just have to say I feel pretty lucky.

My gal out did herself this weekend.
I found a pair of SDA's on ebay. Yay!
But they were in Ventura..about 5 1/2 hours away. She volunteered to drive down with me, and we used her car.
15 hours later, she helps me lug them into the house.
Where to put them? hmmm only 1 place I can think of...looks like the end tables and lamps will have to go.
So she helps me make the move and prepares some food, while I wade through the sea of cables and wires that is the back of the rig and hook them up.
She thinks they sound awesome, and likes the way they look, in fact she prefers them to the lamps and end tables.

What can I say....it must be love.

Yeah my wife's pretty cool about all my home audio toys. I think the trick is convincing them that they love it just as much as you do. Once you do that, you're good for the most part.

I think the biggest issue thus far has been the big TV...but now she loves it

We'll see how she feels about the SVS...

I knew I really had true love when my wife bought me a kegerator for my birthday last year. The only down side is she'll ALWAYS be one up on me now. Oh well, it's worth it...

I've got a great gal too, I guess its my present for putting up with a "hell ****" for 14 years. What a difference having a woman you can relate to....

    Here's my story --

I took over the living room recently and set up a 2-channel system. Of course my wife didn't like it at first, but once she started playing her favorite music on it, she came to me and said, "We need to turn the living room into a music room." For me that means a license to buy more gear. For her, it means new furniture so she can listen to music in stylish comfort. Sounds like a great trade-off to me.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

    "God grooves with tubes."

    That is so funny! :p

Great trade off to say the least.

Me on the other hand, I'm buying all my **** now so when I do enter the marriage thing, she'll know me and the system come as a package deal. It's all or none!

Heh... Just before we got engaged, the Polks showed up. If I knew then what I knew now, there would have been a couple of amps on the credit card... :D

Steveinaz, good to see you back safe!

    regards

Yup, this one came as a surprize.
Took me along time to figure it out, you have to look beyond looks alone,
poison comes in pretty bottles too.
When one comes along that's easy on the eyes that's good, and if she's easy on your peace of mind, even better.
I didn't know it was possible to get along so well with a lady. I've exchanged gunfire in previous relationships.

As Steve says....it makes all the difference.
