Speaker Trade - RTi150

Well, I know this is a long shot, but thought I'd try here first.

I've decided that due to some other project I'm wanting to get started and a restriction on funds, that I'm going to sell my RTi150s and move down to the RTi70s for my living room listening area. This along with other steps will help me free up funds for my main theather room, on which construction will begin next week!).

Anyway, I've got two options:

Option 1 - I'd like to trade my 150s for some 70s along with $200. So if anyone is wanting to upgrade to some 150s on the cheap, this is a good chance. Simple, I give you my 150s, you give me your 70s and $200 and we both live happily ever after...

Option 2 - Someone can buy my 150s from me and I'll deal with seeking out a pair of 70s. Does $600 sound fair?

I don't have boxes for the 150s, so this will have to be a local Dallas deal, which I know narrows my field down quite a bit.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in either option above, respond here. As I mentioned, I doubt I'll luck out here, so I'll leave this up for a few days and then try my luck on Ebay...

Thanks

I might, I stress MIGHT, know someone who would be interested in buying them, I'll check...

Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

kind of hard to keep the boxes when you don't have any to start with :)

I bought these a year or so ago as an open box at CC with no boxes...

By the way, if someone we're really interested in these, I could probably get the boxes and packing material from Polk...but that may be cost prohibitive...just a thought...

I'm trying to start building the system for my theater room, and need to cut back on some other areas. To do the 150s any justice, I'm needing to add a bit more power and am not willing to make the investment in amps for that system right now.

Basically, I just wanna run the 70s with a decent sub and just use the receiver for power for a 5.1 setup, wanna get keep the extra amps out of the living area and in the theater room...

I might be interested in the trade. I have 3 RTi70's at them moment, one is used as a center channel for my HT. I figured the 150's and 70's are same timbre so I could continue to do so. Unless you want to trade 2 150's for 3 70's?

What are you powering the 150's with right now?

Also, what sub are you thinking of getting? I am thinking of upgrading my 16-46PCi SVS to PC Ultra. The sub is mint and hardly used, bought just recently.

1 - Yes they are timbre matched, same drivers and tweeters, so you could use the 70 for your center and the 150s for your fronts

2 - really don't have a need for three 70s becuase I have to use a regular center channel...wish I could have a bigger speaker there though:)

3 - I am bi-amping the 150s with an HK PA2000 running the lows and my receiver running the highs and mids. Don't you have an HK receiver, 7200? If you wanted, I could sell you my PA2000 also and you'd be set with the 150s and your HK stuff - just something to think about...We could do my 150s and PA2000 for your 70 and $400, that sounds fair, but someone else feel free to chime in if that doesn't sound right, want to make sure I'm fair... Or if you don't want the amp, that's cool I'll just keep it for later use or sell it separately...

not sure really, I've got a whole other thread going on that topic...I'll drop this model number over there and see what kind of response I get.

Maybe we could work that into the deal...
