Is my set up ok? Or, anything to correct? Thank you.

I am working on a subwoofer box with a 15" driver with 400W rms - 1200W peak power rating & with a built-in subwoofer amp with 1200W rms power.

Farthermore, the amplifier has left & right source out lines, which I am thinking of connecting to my two standing passive speakers each with a 3 way crossover at 600W peak power rating. Each has 8 ohms drivers - 10" woofer 250-300W; 5" midrange 150W; & 3" Tweeter at 100W.

Is my set up ok? Or, anything to correct?

Please, HELP. This is my first DIY. Thank you.

  • I am confused.

How many channels does the sub amp have?

A built-in sub amp usually amplifies 1 channel (the sub). It may have an output for the main channels (after the sub's crossover), but I would expect this to be a line level signal that will need a separate 2-channel amp to drive the main speakers.
