Had parts left over… this is the Erector Set version.
Gotta build a box for it… some electrical hazards involved with it in this state.
Xformers in the bottom, PS’s on the sides and DAC/analog board/input board on top.
Replaced the op-amp with the Burson 5i and added the .01uf input power mod to it.

I think it looks great... Just add do not touch stickers- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Just do a bob carver and put it in a Folgers Coffee Can….
Or a donor M-400t case lol"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Now that's what you call, wait for it, building outside the box....
I'd add some pipes/gears/gauges and go full Steampunk.
Then get some speakers like these...
These pics taken at Axpona 2014.

How did they sound?
-
I never heard them play. An audio reviewer said they used Legacy proprietary drivers and they sounded good with Rock music.
I can say I've heard Aluminum encased speakers in a professionally done audio room and they sounded fantastic. Magico, can't recall the model. Norm (RIP) and I picked up a pair of NIB silver Amazing's from the guy and he asked if we wanted to have a listen. We'd never turn down a demo, even with stuff we couldn't afford. Huge floor standers, several hundred pounds each. Six ways IIRC. Ribbed sides. Amps all over. Speaker cables routed on risers, done with surveyor precision. I'll never forget the day, unless Alzheimer's gets me.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
